Fruit and vegetable goods: Vietnam is the first partner to sign the Free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union with the rate of nearly 90% of tariff lines being cut or reduced, of which 59.3% are eliminated. This is a good opportunity for Vietnamese exporters, including the strong fruit and vegetables when exporting to the Russian market. In the first 7 months of 2021, processed pineapple is the most exported product by Vietnamese enterprises to the Russian market, with a turnover of 14.6 million USD, up 73% over the same period last year. Notably, the export turnover of some fruits to Russia increased sharply in the first 7 months of this year such as: Mango increased by 301.8%, banana increased by 2,395 %, coconut increased by 787.6% ...

In terms of coffee: According to data from the Russian Customs agency, in the first 6 months of 2021, the country imported a total of 117.88 thousand tons of coffee, up 4.8% over the same period last year. In which, Vietnam is the largest coffee supplier to Russia with a volume of 36.77 thousand tons, accounting for 31.2% of the country's imported coffee market share, down from 41% of the same period last year. last year. Meanwhile, Russia significantly increased the amount of coffee imported from other markets such as Brazil, Indonesia, Italy, Uganda... in the first 6 months of this year. Vietnam has been the largest coffee supplier to the Russian Federation for many years.

However, Vietnamese branded coffee is hardly available on the shelves of supermarket chains in Russia. The reason is that Vietnamese coffee is imported into Russia in the form of raw materials (about 99% of Vietnamese coffee exported to Russia is raw coffee, only 1% roasted coffee). This figure is reflected in the price and export turnover of Vietnam's coffee to this market in recent years.

In the first 6 months of this year, the average price of Vietnamese coffee exported to Russia reached 1,866 USD/ton, much lower than the price up to 6,000 - 7,000 USD/ton of EU countries exporting to Russia. Compared to the Italian market, Vietnam's coffee exports to Russia are 4.4 times higher, but the value is only 1.15 times higher when exported to Russia.
